Everett two year photos

Our week of Christmas.

What a week. We have had a lot of snow and ice in Portland. On Monday we went and got Jared's sister Nicole from her snow bound house in Salem. We had so much fun spending time with her these last five days. Because she lives in Salem we have really only done one thing with just her the last 8 months. So it was very nice to have Everett and us play with Coley. We had Christmas eve with the Carter Family. We did the Nativity, treats and a white elephant exchange. We laughed so hard and had such a good time. Christmas morning was fun. Santa was very good to all of us. Everett really got the handle of opening presents. Christmas brunch was at the Carters again. One of the best parts of Christmas is my Mom's strawberry waffles. We opened some gifts there and loved spending time with family. We had Christmas dinner at Misty's with Jared's family. Everett had a blast with his cousins. With no nap all day, Everett was going on pure adrenaline by about 4 pm. The day after Christmas we took Aunt Nicole to dinner for her birthday. It was so fun to spend her birthday with her. We took these pictures at Chevy's. Have fun watching the two video scrapbooks we made from this week. We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and have a safe and great New Year.

Let it snow

We love the snow. It was so much fun to go out into the side yard and play in the snow. Everett loved it. He is so big!!!

Oregon Zoo in December

We got a zoo pass for a Family gift this year. We love it. We have gone three times this past week. We went to Zoo Lights with Papa and Aunt Nicole, were we had so much fun and Everett loved it. Then we went with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Illya. We saw the Baby Elephant and three other elephants walking in a line and playing around, it was awesome. Jared's favorite part of the zoo is the the elephants. Then we went again with just the tree of us. We watched the polar bear swimming back and forth. He would swim forward, then swim back to the glass, and use his HUGE paws to push off the glass! It was pretty cool to watch Everett react to the huge bear!

Go Ducks

For the people who don't know we love the Oregon Ducks. Yesterday they spanked the Oregon State Beavers. We LOVED the game. So did Everett. GO DUCKS!!!!!!

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Anytime throughout the year. I Hope to be done next week
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Heck yes I have
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Pepperment ice cream and anything carmel
16. Lights on the tree? Yes simple white lights
17. Favorite Christmas Song? Everyone, I love Christmas music. I would listen in July if it was socialy acceptable. Wait i don't like the charley brown one. It gets stuck in you head and drives you crazy.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Home first time in 6 years
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? I am looking for a good star if anyone has an idea
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? Jared's family opens christmas pj on christmas eve so we do that now.But everything else is christmas day.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Marketing & sales & pushy retailers telling you how much useless stuff you need when you don’t need any of it.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color. Red it is my fav color and so of course red and then silver
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner: I really like christmas brunch we have strawberry waffle and omelletes. I love it

Halloween update!!!

So we loved Halloween!!!! Jared was the famer, I was the cow, and Everett was the chicken. it was a lot fun. We went trick or treating with Jared's whole family. There were three kids with like 10 adults. We took turns on who took them to the door. Everett was so cute....at the first door he rang the door bell 15 times.

Halloween is coming

Well, I got out Everett's Chicken Costume today. He tried it on and he is so stinking cute. I love that boy.

My Mom's Birthday

First of all let me apologize for any missed spelled words because it is really early in the morning. I wanted to get this email out early in the morning so all of you would see it first thing this morning.
My Mom Julia Carter birthday is today. She is 70 years old. She said this year she did not want any gifts but wanted all of us to do something nice and email her what we did. Well I thought we could real do this right by sending this “Nice Charge” to all of my friends and extended family. I set up a new email address for her so anyone could email her what you did nice, for someone else. So please do something nice and let my mom know. I am emailing people that know my Mom, and people who don’t know her. So to those who do not know her, she is the most loving and wonderful women ever.

I love Popcorn

This was so funny. We made popcorn and he thought every pop was so cool. Then eating the popcorn was even cooler. Then eating it with a spoon ..... as you can see, the coolest thing EVER! We love him so much.
